The legendary Britpop band Oasis has officially announced their long-awaited reunion tour, Oasis Live ’25, marking the end of a 15-year hiatus.

Fans around the world have been eagerly anticipating this moment, as brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher finally set aside their long-standing feud to bring Oasis back to the global stage.

The tour will kick off in July 2025, with a series of shows in the UK and Ireland, before expanding to North America, South America, Asia, and Australia.

The Return of Britpop Legends

Formed in 1991, Oasis became one of the most influential bands of the Britpop era, producing timeless hits such as Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back in Anger, and Champagne Supernova.

Despite their immense success, tensions between the Gallagher brothers led to the band’s split in 2009.

After years of speculation and social media teases, the band finally confirmed their reunion in a dramatic statement:

“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

The announcement has sent shockwaves through the music industry, as Oasis joins a growing list of iconic bands making a return to live performances in 2025.

Controversy Over Ticket Pricing

Despite the excitement surrounding the tour, ticket sales for Oasis’ UK and Ireland shows were met with backlash due to dynamic pricing, a Ticketmaster strategy that adjusts prices based on demand. Some tickets surged to thousands of dollars, leading to frustration among fans.

Noel and Liam Gallagher issued a statement clarifying that they were unaware of the pricing model and have since taken measures to ensure better accessibility for fans. The controversy even caught the attention of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who commented on the issue due to overwhelming public outcry.

Who Will Be in the Reunited Oasis?

While Liam and Noel are confirmed, speculation continues over who will join them on stage. Original guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs is expected to be part of the lineup, while former members Gem Archer and Andy Bell are rumored to return.

However, drummer Alan White is not likely to participate. Liam Gallagher has hinted that the lineup may include “a few new faces” as well.

Support acts for the tour have not been officially announced, but bands like Kasabian, Blossoms, and Richard Ashcroft have been suggested as possible openers.

A Monumental Moment for Rock Fans

The Oasis reunion marks one of the most anticipated comebacks in rock history. With Britpop nostalgia at an all-time high and a new generation of fans discovering their music, Oasis Live ’25 is set to be a historic tour.

For long-time Oasis fans, the wait is finally over. Whether this reunion will lead to new music or remain a one-time celebration of their legacy remains to be seen. But one thing is certainโ€”2025 is shaping up to be a monumental year for rock music.
